Dr. Baker received his Ph.D.
degree in Biochemistry from the University of London in 1984.
His postdoctoral training was carried out in Cardiothoracic
Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin where, in 1987,
he joined the faculty. Dr. Baker is now Professor of Surgery,
Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology and Professor of
Biochemistry. He has authored over 60 publications in cardiovascular
disease basic research and has presented the results of his
studies at national and international meetings.
Dr. Baker's current and past sources of funding
include the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart
Association, Ronald McDonald Children's Charities and the
Culpeper Foundation.
